pursuant to Article 12 and subsequent EU Regulation 679/2016
Marchesi Antinori S.p.A. is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting all principles concerning privacy and the dignity of all individuals.
Pursuant to the new EU Regulation no. 679/2016 and in accordance with the principles of accountability, all processing of personal data must be lawful and fair.
The principles of transparency require that information and notices relating to the processing of personal data are easily accessible, understandable and written in simple clear language.
With this in mind, please read the following information.
The company Marchesi Antinori S.p.A, in its capacity as Data Controller, in person of the pro-tempore legal representative, pursuant to and for the purposes of EU Regulation 679/2016, hereby informs all data subjects that any personal data acquired directly by Marchesi Antinori S.p.A. or requested subsequently and/or communicated by third parties are necessary and will be used for the purposes indicated below.
The personal data we collect will be name, address, shipping and billing addresses, and product information.
How we use your personal information
We will use your personal information for the following purposes:
To enroll you in Marchesi Antinori S.p.A.’s Wine Club 26 Generazioni;
To fulfill orders and contracts that you have placed with us online;
To manage general accounting activity, invoicing, managing credits, complying with legal obligations under statutory and financial laws;
To ascertain your level of satisfaction regarding the quality of the products and services provided by us, including collecting statistical data and profiling users preferences;
To update customers and users regarding new products and special offers;
For legitimate business purposes that enable us to offer products and services tailored to customers and users preferences and needs.
Personal data can be used for sending service communications, replying to customer enquiries and comments, handling complaints regarding customer’s orders and/or contracts as well as for fulfilling customers’ orders.
For the above mentioned purposes, your consent for processing personal data is optional however we do require it for enrollment in the 26 Generazioni Wine Club so we are able to process orders you place with us, and to fulfill contractual obligations we must comply with by law.
Personal data may also be used for sending our customers notices about new products or services, events, or advertising special products or similar products after receiving users prior consent.
We may also use personal data from customers’ email (even if they are not enrolled in the Wine Club program) to send them our Wine Club’s informative newsletters, after receiving users prior consent.
Data storage and our obligation to confidentiality
Processing personal data will be stored on computers and/or hardcopy archives by authorized entities that comply with privacy regulations and are directly related to our legitimate business purposes and will guarantee the safeguarding and protection of your personal data.
The data collected will not be disclosed or given to third parties in accordance with the law.
Third Party Communications
Your personal data may be disclosed to known third parties only and exclusively for the aforementioned legitimate business purposes and, in particular, to the following categories:
– Entities and Public Administrations for legal obligations;
– External companies that perform services on our behalf (i.e. order management platforms, shipping companies and customer service companies):
– Professionals who can assist us in making sure we are in full compliance with the law;
These subjects will process personal data as external managers.
In accordance with Article 5 of EU Regulation 679/2016, “Principles related to processing of personal data”, personal data is kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed. Personal data may be stored for longer periods for compliance with all applicable laws and legislation (for example regarding accounting purposes and compliance with laws).
